Math: The students will be practicing and perfecting their measurement skills. Throughout this unit, the students will estimate and measure:
- length to the nearest centimeter and inch
- weight/mass of objects in pounds/ounces and kilograms/grams
- liquid volume in cups, pints, quarts, gallons and liters
Language Arts: We will be working on our editing skills as we review the language arts concepts that we have learned throughout the year.
We will continue writing lowercase cursive letters. This week, we will work with the “hills and valleys group.” Letters included in this group are n, m, v, y, x, and z.
Social Studies: We will continue our unit on Famous Americans. Throughout this unit, the students will learn about 6 famous Americans who have had impacted our society in a positive way. These 6 American figures include George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Susan B. Anthony, Helen Keller, Jackie Robinson, and Martin Luther King, Jr.
